The Core Programs we support to end the generational poverty cycle
We truly believe that to be able to make a dent towards generational poverty the work needs to be locally led. Each of these programs we support are met and administered through The Vineyard Ministry of México in Mazatlán, México.
Each local initiatives is administered through our partner ministry VMCM (Vineyard Ministries Central México) and their Community Centres of Hope in Mazatlán, Mexico.
Compassion Tour
Twice weekly VMCM teams and volunteers make and distributes fresh, filtered water and approximately 600 sandwiches weekly to the families and individuals who scrounge through the garbage at the Mazatlán city dump in an attempt to provide a living for their families.
Feeding Kids
Every week volunteers from their English and Spanish churches at VMCM prepare and distribute over 1000 meals to hungry children throughout the local Community Centres in order help meet their most basic nutritional needs.
VCS-Vineyard Child Sponsorship
The VCS Program is an affordably and effective child sponsorship program designed to support an underprivileged child at three levels - body, mind, and spirit. Children from the ages 4 to 14 have the greatest likelihood of being reached to help the child achieve a better life for themselves.
VSP-Vineyard Scholarship Program
The VSP Program is designed to promote education by covering the costs of school tuition, shoes, and uniform for children that would otherwise not be afforded the opportunity to attend school due to poverty or dysfunctional home life.
The Compassion Tour
Help meet a basic and immediate need
Out at the Mazatlan city dump, people are living off the garbage of other people. These people work at the dump every day looking for recyclables to sell, items to make their homes better, and food to eat. The Vineyard Ministry of Mexico feels a huge responsibility to show the love of God to these people.
Vineyard Ministries makes and delivers 600 sandwiches and bottles of water to the poorest communities of people twice each week.
You can help sponsor a day at the dump by donating $200 CAD to cover the cost of sandwich supplies and gas in order to help feed the people who make their living from scavenging at the city dump.
If you are vacationing in Mazatlan, your presence is welcome! Please join them Tuesday and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m to help prepare the sandwiches and water and then head out on the Compassion Tour to help distribute.
The address is Av Camarón Sábalo 335, Zona Dorada. Bring your family members and friends so that together you can make a difference and share in this life changing experience.

Feeding Kids
Feeding Kids
We continue to support Vineyard Central Ministries to financially feed kids inside their Community Centres of Hope, which are a bright beacon of hope in the poorest communities around Mazatlán. These centers not only feed the children bodies with food, but they show them Gods love and the hope of Jesus. The children who have yet to be sponsored by a generous sponsor in Canada are also given the chance to have a nutritious meal with their mothers each week.
With programs like these the lives of underprivileged children and families in Central México can be impacted forever.
